Orchid was established in 1996.
The idea behind the business was to offer customers a fresh
way of dealing with an IT company. Technology is such a frightening
area for most companies to get involved in and what we wanted
to do was make it as painless, informative and affordable as
possible, and at the same time enjoyable.
Orchid currently employ over
40 staff where 45% of those staff are technical, we are based
in Derby with a nation-wide cover. We have a turnover in excess
of 10 Million pounds and supply IT products, cabling and services
to over 1000 companies. We are skilled in Healthcare, Education,
Government, SME, Corporate and Resellers.
We are a Hewlett Packard Preferred
Partner, Microsoft Certified Gold Partner and an Accredited
Investor in People. We hold accreditations with many other companies
which are listed within this website.
Orchid provides a complete
outsourced IT function and offers a support service to companies’
existing IT staff, from building the whole IT infrastructure
for a business, to supporting and maintaining that structure
with on-site visits, telephone support, dial-in access and remote system monitoring.
One of the reasons we are so
good is because of the skills of our technical and advisory
staff, all of whom have many years experience offering independent
advice, and commissioning and installing a vast array of networks
and systems.
Orchid are also skilled in installing
hardware from PDA’s to servers, connecting offices, home
workers and field staff, and supporting IT solutions with a
comprehensive support package.
