Orchid Supports Local School Leavers -

Derbyshire school leavers have been taken on by Derby-based IT specialists Orchid Business Computing Limited as it expands its extensive range of services in the East Midlands and nationwide.
Former Heanor Gate Science College student Nick Gall, 19, joins the company as a Customer Account Manager and will be part of a team providing IT support for a wide range of businesses in the region.
Nick left the college with A levels in ICT, PE and General studies as well as an A/S in Business Studies.
On his appointment Nick said: "I am delighted to have landed a position at one of the regions best known and well respected IT companies. I am sure I can learn a lot from the other staff at Orchid who are all experts in their individual fields."
Fellow Heanor Gate College student Isaac Radford, 16, also joined Orchid during the summer along with 19-year-old Liam Martin from Cannock.
As the companys Communications Co-ordinator Isaac will be undertake a range of training courses while assisting with day-to-day marketing activities. Liam also plans to complete a number of NVQs alongside his duties as a warehouse co-ordinator.
They will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of 18-year-old Joe Lisney from Ilkeston who joined Orchid from school at 16 and has since earned several qualifications including an NVQ in Customer Service and now works as a Junior Technical Engineer.
