Orchid IT and the GMB Panthers - 9/9/2009

The GMB Nottingham Panthers and sponsors Orchid IT are joining forces again next season and the deal includes an exciting new addition to the club’s annual awards.

Orchid IT will be sponsoring the match night magazine, games and other aspects of the operation INCLUDING the Man of Match Awards after every home game.

As per normal practise these awards will be presented by the individual match sponsors but will be branded as the ORCHID IT MAN OF THE MATCH awards.

Furthermore, ORCHID will be putting up a laptop to be presented at the end of the season to the player who has contributed the best home match performance of the season.

Coach Corey Neilson said today : “This is an innovative idea which has evolved from discussions between the management of the two organisations, and whilst we are and always will be essentially a team game, a further incentive to do well every time the guys step onto the ice can’t do any harm. I like it, and I could do with a new laptop myself!!”

Added Chris Tate, Technical Director of ORCHID IT : “We became involved with the club for the first time last season and everything they have done for us has been professional and stunning. We’re getting more involved next season and as IT suppliers wanted to do something that might help produce even better performances on the ice.”

A special panel of judges will keep an analytical eye on the man of the matches throughout the season and the ORCHID IT MATCH PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON will be presented along with other club awards at the end of the 2009-10 campaign.
