Orchid IT, the Midlands leading supplier of IT support and services, has expanded its data cabling team with the appointment of Paul Robinson as cabling project manager.
Paul, (39), has more than 20 years project management experience, gained from a long career in the construction industry during which he managed many complex infrastructure projects, often including new data cabling. Paul realises the importance of data cabling to any business network.
In his new role, Paul will head up the 10 strong cabling team at Orchid and will be responsible for managing a diverse range of projects across the UK. He will also be charged with the task of expanding the divisions customer base and developing the range and scope of its activities, such as wireless technologies, audio visual, CCTV and telephony.
His considerable experience in this field will prove invaluable within the area of data cabling as the team are tasked daily with finding the best solution for organisations to acquire optimal network data speeds.
Since Pauls appointment to Orchid he has already been instrumental in two large data cabling projects for both the NHS and General Healthcare totalling nearly 5000 points.
