Orchid IT sponsor the Derbyshire Childrens Holiday Centre - 12/5/2010

Orchid IT are pleased to announce that they will be sponsoring the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre in 2010 in the form of supplying various IT services which will enhance the charities operational processes.

DCHC is a charity which was established in 1891 to provide disadvantaged Derbyshire children with holidays in Skegness, Lincolnshire. Aiming to provide exciting, happy and memorable holidays for the children in a safe and structured environment, the Centre provides attractive and comfortable surroundings for the children.

Orchid IT will be donating to the Centre’s operational team “cloud computing” based IT solution focusing on delivering email and remote file storage to the staff base which are mostly located in remote workspaces.

Brett Critchley, Managing Director of Orchid IT said “Following on from my visit to the Holiday Centre in Skegness last year, I really wanted to contribute something tangible and useful to this great organization. Due to the fact that many of the volunteers work remotely, it has been difficult for them to collaborate digitally so we have provided them with an IT solution that makes this possible”.
