Orchid IT raised over £1,600 for Lewis
England may have failed miserably at the World Cup, but staff and friends from Orchid IT were clear winners when they staged a special World Cup party in aid of the Lewis Mighty Appeal.
More than 100 people attended the party, which took place at the Bishop’s Blaise on Friar Gate during the first round match between Brazil and the Ivory Coast.
So far, we have raised a massive £1,630 for the appeal, which is raising funds to send five year old Lewis to the United States for life-saving treatment.
Huge thanks go out to everyone who attended the event and to everyone who donated prizes, including:
• The British Health Foundation
• Derby County F.C
• Equanet
• Luke Evans
• Bradley Martin
• Moggs Marketing
• Mosca
• MWE
• Nottingham Forest F.C
• Owen Taylor
• Robeys
• Weavers Wines
• The management at Bishop’s Blaise.
Our fundraising doesn’t stop here though!
On Friday 10th September, we’re sponsoring the Mighty Golf Day 2010 at Horsley Lodge Golf Club! The event begins with breakfast and registration at 10.00am, followed by an 18 hole Stableford format competition. A buffet will be served from 6.30pm. Entry is £300 for a team of four. To secure your place, contact Brett Critchley or James Twigg on 01332 36 00 99. And if you think you can manage a hole in one, you could bag yourself a car!
The Lewis Mighty Fund is more than half way towards its £300,000 target and we would urge other businesses to get behind the appeal. Every little helps and you will be making a real difference to the life of a very special little boy.
We’ve partnered with Derby-based BH PR to produce a fundraising pack for anyone who is looking for ideas on how they can get involved. To obtain your pack email Brett Critchley.
Let’s work together to help Lewis get the treatment he so desperately needs.
