Orchid was established in 1996 to offer IT support to SMEs employing from 2 to 250 users. The idea behind the business was to offer customers a fresh way of dealing with an IT support company while simply providing cost effective and reliable IT support.

Orchid provides a complete outsourced IT function and offers a support service for companies both with and without existing IT staff. We can build the whole IT infrastructure for a business or we can support and maintain that infrastructure with remote system monitoring, on-site IT support, telephone support, dial-in access and tailored IT support contracts.
One of the reasons behind our success is the level of skill of our technical and advisory staff. All staff members have excellent qualifications and many years of experience. They offer independent advice and they can commission and install a vast array of networks and systems.

Orchid currently employs over 50 staff and over 50% of those staff are in IT support. We have offices in Derby and Nottingham and we provide nationwide IT support. We have an annual turnover in excess of £10m and we specialize in IT support, data cabling and IT solutions for over 1,000 companies. We arent just skilled in supplying IT support for SMEs. We also give managed IT support to other sectors such as healthcare, education, government, corporate and resellers.
We are a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, a Hewlett Packard Gold Partner and a Sophos Gold Partner. We also hold accreditations with many other companies which are listed within this website.
In 2010 Orchid beat off competition from all around the UK to win the MicroScope ACE’s IT Support Company of the Year award. In 2009 Orchid won the prestigious Business of the Year award from the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.
